Installing and registering April16 OCXs on Windows Vista

Some customers have experienced problems when trying to install or register OCXs on Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows Server 2003. A few of the April16 OCX components were originally developed using Microsoft Visual Basic 5 and have remained compatible with Visual Basic 5. This has caused some problems with OCX compatability with Windows Vista. We have the following solution:

Windows Vista and Help File Issues

You may find that on occasion you can not view the content of CHM files on Windows Vista. You can see the table of contents but the actual details are not displayed. This can occur if the file has come from another computer, e.g. April16, and the OS now blocks these from running. CHM is not the only file type that can be affected with this issue.

The April16 IPComboBox OCX, IPTextBox OCX, NetIPComboBox .Net Component and NetIPTextBox .Net Component have just been updated. All four controls now come with an extra property, SubNetMask.

April16 has just updated the NetIPComboBox and NetIPTextBox .Net Component Visual Studio controls. The appearance of both controls can now be completely customized to fit any application form. Included are default styles for XP, Vista, Office 2007, Outlook 2007. Examples

DayView .Net Component Beta Testers Required

We are currently just finishing off our testing of the new DayView .Net Component. The new component is designed specifically for .Net and provides many new features and a vastly improved graphical interface for users. With new features has come many more properties, etc, so we have also included a new property page that provides the application owner a simpler way to set up the DayView.
