NEW YORK, NY August 8, 2009 (The Boating Channel) – The Coast Guard and multiple agencies are continuing to search the Hudson River for the passengers of a mid-air collision between a helicopter and a small plane near Pier 40. The collision took place around noon today.

MIAMI, FL, July 22, 2009 (The Boating Channel) - Two boaters who had been missing from the Fort Pierce, Fla., area since Sunday were located and recovered yesterday by a good Samaritan. The missing vessel was spotted drifting approximately 65 miles east of Jacksonville, Florida, Tuesday around 1:30 p.m.

Body of Fisherman Recovered in Togiak Bay, Alaska

KODIAK, ALASKA, July 15, 2009 (The Boating Channel) - The Coast Guard recovered the body of a 56-year-old fisherman who fell overboard from his skiff in Togiak Bay north of Bristol Bay Monday. The Coast Guard received a call at 9:04 a.m. Monday from a local fisherman reporting that Steve Luhrs and his two daughters were pulling fishing nets into his 18-foot skiff when they fell overboard without life jackets on. The two daughters were able to pull themselves back into the skiff.
