New Logo Hits The Road

You will have all seen the new R&W logo that has started to appear on the newer additions to the fleet.

We have over the past nine months invested heavily in a new corporate brand for the company. This rebranding exercise has included the production of a range of brochures for the various divisions within R&W. All of which now use the new logo.

The new logo is seen as a way of demonstrating our commitment to continued growth and shows the company’s enthusiasm for developing the business. The new logo will start to appear on our paperwork and stationary from January next year.

Seen opposite is our new Volvo tractor unit, driven by Bob Newman and Jason King. The Volvo is fitted with a PM 40025 crane that can lift over 1800kg at 14.5m.

Combined with this unit we have purchased a new Faymonville trailer that gives a gross train weight in excess of 80 tonnes. The trailer extends to 3.2m wide and 18.6m long.

Employee Recognition Award

Well done to Gus Hyne who was recently awarded the “Employee Recognition Award” on the M27 by Costain’s Site Management Team. Seen opposite is Gus being presented the award at the site.

Gus, who joined R&W in 2007, was commended for his diligent approach and excellent health & safety track record at the site.

A Christmas Note

All of the Directors would like to thank the staff for their hard work during the last twelve months. It has been an interesting
time during which the company has continued to grow with us completing our largest job to date on the M27.

We are all striving to secure a full order book for the New Year and will, with your continued support, weather the storm ahead. In the mean time enjoy the Christmas Break and have a happy New Year.

New Commission, New Start

R&W are pleased to announce that we are now hard at work on the New Area 3 commission. Enterprise Mouchel started on the MAC in September and since then we have played an active role on the new Contract.

We have, to date, carried out civil engineering, traffic management and electrical works on a range of schemes ranging from New Tank Bunds for the brine storage tanks in the depots to Emergency Call outs for flood alleviation works.

Holyport School Development

Paul Johnstone has been hard at work since the Summer on the new Holyport School Development in Maidenhead.

Working for Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Services Ltd the scheme entails the installation of new infrastructure to facilitate the new build of a local school.

Works undertaken include deep drainage, bulk earthworks, extensive kerbing and SUDS installation, service corridor installation works, managing statutory authority diversions and the management of numerous other Contractors at the site.

The project involves extensive weekend closures on a road adjacent to the site to allow a new entrance to be constructed.

M27 Widening
Works have continued during the Summer on the M27 widening scheme for Costain.

The scheme, the largest ever undertaken by R&W, has now been completed and the motorway is quickly taking shape ready to be opened up well ahead of the original programme.

The site team, Managed by Dave Pearson and Melvin Snook, all won praise for their efforts on the scheme.

R&W Traffic Signals gets the Green Light

Geoff Maxted has recently joined R&W as the head of our new Traffic Signals Division. Geoff has been hard at work securing works from new Clients.

Geoff’s team recently dealt with a bridge strike for Dyer & Butler Rail. The bridge strike occurred over a weekend at Sway, in the New Forest. R&W also installed TVCB’s to protect the damaged parapet.

Four Dell Waste Transfer Station
R&W are pleased to announce that the Waste Transfer Station at Four Dell farm has now received full planning approval.
The 24hrs facility will be a key asset in our ability to deliver schemes for Clients where our only means of carrying out the work is at night.
The new facility will be developed in the near future and feature dedicated segregation facilities and comprehensive noise attenuation measures. The site will also be screened by extensive landscaping measures.

R&W Traffic Management - New Offices, new staff!

R&W traffic Management is in the process of developing their new offices at the Four Dell site. John Ridyard has continued to grow the business and was, this summer, joined by Chris Dunn who has taken on the Contracts Manager role within traffic management.

The Traffic Management team have been busy recruiting as well. We now employ over 40 specialist traffic management staff who utilise our extensive fleet of IPV’s , Safety Fencing Rigs and other specialist equipment to work on schemes for a range of Clients across the South Coast.

Currently we are undertaking works for , amongst others, Enterprise Mouchel (Area 3 MAC), Amey (Hampshire County Council TMC), Clancy Docra (Various), Ringway (Surrey TMC), Hampshire County Council and Fitzpatrick (West Berkshire TMC).

Lifting Equipment and Health & Safety Advice
During February Jon Hammond, R&W HSEQ & Compliance Manager, will be calling in all of the lifting equipment for recertification.
From the 16th February our new lifting equipment colour will be BLUE. Any equipment not coloured blue after this date must not
be used
Also during the last month we have contracted our external Health, Safety and Environmental advice services out to 4 See Risk Management.
Some of you may have met Kevin Sellick, our HSEQ Consultant during his recent audit. Kevin will be our first point of contact
from 4 See and is available for advice as and when required.

Other Works

M4 Junction 8/9 Bankslip
During the Summer James Skinner completed an extensive bankslip operation for the old
Area 3 commission for BBISL. The works, carried out at night over 6 weeks, involved extensive
earthworks and slip remediation measures.

Charters School - Ascot
Ray Hindley and Shane Day completed a new car park installation scheme during the Summer for BBISL. The works involved earthworks, drainage, paving and traffic management. All of the works where carried out in a live school ground.

A3 Clanfield Cycle Way - BBISL
R&W installed the missing link section of BBISL’s cycle way at Clanfield this summer. The scheme involved extensive earthworks , environmental improvements and drainage upgrade works alongside the busy A3 at Clanfield.

Security - Everyone’s Priority
You will have noticed that we have, over the past three months, expended a large amount of money and time improving security at our two sites. Improvements at both sites include electronic gates and hidden CCTV cameras. We now also have trackers in all of our vehicles.
Please play your part in ensuring nothing is left open or unlocked, theft is everyone’s problem, especially in the current economic climate.

Redbridge Flyover
Works have recently been completed on the Redbridge Flyover Upgrade Scheme for Dyer & Butler. R&W’s involvement at the project entailed the installation of an extensive traffic management scheme. Combined with this we provided 350m of Varioguard at the site. To facilitate the tight programme, and allow the new slip formed barrier to be installed at night, the Varioguard was removed at the start of the night closure then reinstalled before the road was reopened.

M27 Widening Junction 3 to 4 - All Systems Go
Hot off the press is the news that R&W have been awarded the Contract for the earthworks and drainage on Costain’s widening scheme on the M27.
The works began in March with the breaking out and removal of the existing central reserve between Junction 4 (M3) and Junction 3 (M271). Melvin Snook is the R&W Works Manager on the site. Shane Mortimer and his gang are amongst those employed on the works.
The scheme involves extensive earthworks and at over £3m is the largest scheme we have undertaken to date.
To carry out the works, involving carting approximately 90,000m3 of muck away, R&W will be drawing on it’s own extensive fleet of
equipment.
The award of the Contract follows extensive negotiations and is in large due to our reputation as a contractor committed to delivering results for our customers.

R&W Web Page - Have you seen it yet?
The new R&W web site is now up and running. Following a process of development that has been on going since last November.

The site, developed for R&W by Admass Design, shows the full range of services that we offer to our customers.
New Plant and vehicles are now being liveried with the web site address and all of our Client’s are being notified of the new web address.

Helping the Public find their way
R&W are well into the final stages of the new network wide Route Marker post installation works.
To date our team, led by John Davies and Tom Workman, have completed the installation works on the M27, M271 and M3. Works are well underway on the latest batch of bases on the M4 at the moment.
Utilising our own equipment including our mixer truck we have over the last three months installed over 600 sign bases

Traffic Management - More Signs!
Our in house Traffic Management division, run by John Ridyard, continues to grow from strength to strength.
The team have completed numerous schemes to date for BBIS Hampshire, Hampshire County Council, Rhino and Bardon Contracting.

R&W Party
Jacqui Hammond once again did a great job of organising the annual R&W dinner. Surprise guests included Father Christmas.
What we didn’t realise what that he has traded his sledge for a 32t eight wheeled tipper!

Chemring Car Park Improvement Works
Matt Obee and Shane Mortimer carried out a 2500m2 new car park construction recently. The works, carried out for SCL Ltd, were designed and specified by R&W and completed to a very tight programme just before Christmas.
Since completing the scheme we have visited the site again and are in the process of developing a further stage for the client Chemring Counter Measures Ltd.

R&W Electrical hard at work in the City
R&W are hard at work at the moment carrying out lighting maintenance works along the Albert Embankment in London.
The works are being carried out for MEWS, part of Fitzpatrick, and form part of Electrical’s on going work load.

Other Works
M27 Junction 11-12 Barrier Guard Installation
R&W recently completed a pilot scheme, working with Kent based Highway Care, on the M27
between junction 11 & 12. The works, carried out for Costain’s, involved R&W working alongside
Highway Care’s teams on installing temporary steel barriers for the motorway widening scheme.

M27 Junction 3 - 4 Varioguard Installation
R&W recently completed the installation of 8.4kM of varioguard installation on the M27. The
works carried out over five shifts were managed and installed by Bob Newman.

M4 Thrust Bore Recovery Works
Ray Gould has been hard at work recovering a stranded thrust bore jacking head on the M4.
R&W, working for Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering, successfully recovered the stranded thrust
bore head and at the same time completed a new duct installation beneath the M4 beneath the
main carriageway.

M4 Junction 8/9 Eastbound On Slip
James Skinner and Mick Russell recently completed a major Bankslip repair on the M4 at the East
Bound Junction 8/9 On Slip for BBISL

Area 3 Patching Works
Antony Skinner, working along side Alan Jeffery, has been hard at work across the network carrying
out patching work. Works have been carried out to facilitate concrete testing and joint improvement
works.

A404/M40 CCTV Installation
We have just completed a scheme for BBISL where we pre cast bases for CCTV cameras and
subsequently installed them on site. From obtaining the order to casting and installing the bases
took 8 days!

R&W Lifting Equipment—Are you Yellow?
All of our lifting equipment must be tested every six months. The current colour tag that must be
on items is Yellow.
If yours doesn’t have a tag don’t use it. Instead pass it to Jon Hammond and he’ll get it tested and
returned to you as soon as possible.

Safety Audits - Well Done
Well done to everyone for their hard work on the M27 Costain scheme where we have been
praised for our operative’s professionalism and committed approach to Health & Safety. Keep up
the good work.

Popley Shapes Up
Works are well underway on the Popley Development project in Basingstoke. Now entering the final stages of the project the works, being undertaken for Geoffrey Osborne Ltd, have involved large scale earthworks, extensive drainage installation, storm cell storage unit installation and reinforced concrete works. Now in the final stages of the project, the works have involved nearly every member of the R&W team, with 5 gangs working at the project during the busiest periods. Managed on site by Paul Johnstone, who joined R&W at the start of the scheme as a General Foreman, the works have provided us with a good opportunity to demonstrate our ability to undertake large scale stand alone Civil Engineering schemes where we have proven our ability to adapt to changing requirements, often at very little notice.

Dear All,

It has been muted that some people aren’t aware of what we are doing within R&W. Let me assure you all that we are doing the same now that we have always done. That is providing a high level of service to our customers,
whilst maintaining our reputation as a reputable local firm that can deliver a high standard of service to our growing Client base. This has always been the case since R&W began over twenty years ago. To help make everyone aware of what is happening at the moment I have put together this news letter to give people an overview of what is happening within It doesn’t cover every scheme, or mention everyone by name but it does let you see what else is going on within R&W that you may not be aware of. I intend to make this news letter a regular issue so if you want to know about something let me know and I’ll try and include it in the next issue.

Did you know?

That over the last three months we have invested over £500,000 in new plant & equipment?
That you can race raisins?
That our forward workload is secured through to 2008 at present?
That we use over 1000 lorry tyres a year?
That we own 23 excavators ranging from 21 tones through to 2.3 tones?
That we now employ more than 50 men full time out on our schemes?
That RCS are no more.
They are now known as BBIS.

Did they even know we were there?
R&W recently played a key role in a strategically important scheme undertaken for Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Services (BBIS). However most people wouldn’t have even known we were there! The project, that involved closing the M3 motorway at Junction 6 from Late Saturday night to early Monday morning, involved structural upgrade works to the overbridges at the junction. We provided both plant and ground workers to help remove the original bridge deck surfacing and waterproofing. Using our low loaders we were able to quickly mobilize large plant and machinery into the closure to ensure the works were completed within the tight timescales. Overseen by James Skinner, the works were completed as planned and the motorway was reopened as scheduled.

Bournemouth Allotments works well underway
Works recently got underway on a new scheme for Dyer & Butler in Bournemouth. The works, carried out over three allotments around the City, entail extensive earthworks, drainage and the construction of new reinforced concrete roadways. Overseen by Ra Gould, the largest site at Priestly Road, is nearing completion. The normal diet of fried breakfasts has been replaced with a new healthier eating regime with allotment holders apparently giving free gifts of various vegetables to the men working at the site.

ISO 9001 Quality Management System
R&W is on the verge of becoming accredited to ISO 9001 standards. What this means is that we will be operating within a set of procedures developed to help run the business in a more systematic fashion, to an industry recognized standard. Managed by Jon Hammond the Quality System will also be a key attribute for us to show new Clients when trying to win new works.

Four Dells Takes Shape
Works have recently been completed on the first phase of our redevelopment works at Four Dells Farm in Otterbourne, near Winchester. The site, an old diary farm, has been transformed over the last four months into new industrial units under the watchful eye of Dave Gingham. Works on the first unit have been completed and this building is now being utilized by Breedy Plant Sales & Servicing. The transformation is dramatic as can be seen by the before & after pictures below, The second phase, originally planed for commencing next spring is already underway due to demand for the units.

New Rail Interchange - Southampton Docks
Works are nearing completion on the first phase of our works in Southampton container terminal for Geoffrey Osbourne Ltd. Our works, managed on site by John Davies, have involved extensive ground works and rail siding alterations. Working alongside the existing bulk material and container rail facility in the docks we have carried out the works using our extensive fleet of tipper lorries and excavation equipment. The scheme was negotiated following our success at Popley and shows our proven ability to work with existing Clients across a wide range of schemes. Other Works
A3 Shakleford to Milford Drainage Improvements
Works are underway installing a new drainage system on the A3. The works, being supervised by James Skinner, are being carried out at night for BBIS.

3(M) Jnct 2 Geoffrey Osbourne Site Compound
Roger May has nearly completed the new compound for GOL just off the A3. The new 4 acre site will be the base for the forthcoming A3(M) / M27 / A27 Comms scheme.

M3 Decommissioning Works
Following the recent completion of the M3 Comms scheme Tom Workman is nearing completion of the final decommissioning package being undertake for GOL

Asset Barrier Works
Bob Newman, Ted Newman & Gary Elvin are busy at work installing Asset barrier across what seems like the entire Southern Motorway network. Not content with having our lorries covering most of Area 3 they can also be spotted working as far a field as Birmingham and South Wales.

Locks Farm Team
A quick mention for Pam, Jacqui, Carol & Danny who look after the accounts at Locks Farm. They work in the office with Kate, our company Quantity Surveyor who ensures all of our Clients pay us for the works that we carry out for them.

R&W Tipper Fleet Continues to Grow
With the fleet expanding we can’t forget all of the unsung heroes driving our fleet of tipper lorries. Well done to you all!

Joined up solutions for the M23
Works are progressing well on the M23 near Gatwick in Sussex on the M23 Communications Project. The scheme, a joint collaboration between R&W Civil Engineering and R&W Electrical, is now entering the cable installation phase. R&W Civil Engineering have installed approximately 2/3 of the 12km of ducting and R&W Electrical have now commenced on installing the first phase of th 20km required at the site. The works, being overseen by Melvin Snook from R&W Civil Engineering and Lee Ware from R&W Electrical, are being carried out by a twenty strong workforce working between Gatwick Airport and the M25. Tom Workman and Jame Skinner are organizing the works on the site for R&W.

ISO 9001 Accreditation & Sector Scheme 2C Award
R&W have recently been awarded our ISO 9001 accreditation. The award, of the industry recognized standard, demonstrates our proven ability to deliver schemes to a consistent standard. Our quality system, managed by Jon Hammond, reinforces our existing procedures for managing how we operate as a business. With the accreditation we were also awarded Sector Scheme 2B approval for Safety Fencing works. This will allow us to carry out safety fencing works for Clients other than BBISL within our operating area. The award will allow us to demonstrate to new Clients our commitment to delivering schemes to a consistent high standard.

Vehicle Safety Fencing Works
We have, during recent months, undertaken a variety of safety fencing schemes. These schemes, undertaken within our Sector Scheme 2C approval, have demonstrated our ability to produce high standard works in conjunction with our Clients. Some of the schemes undertaken to date include M27 Jnct 11, M3 Jnct 12, M27 Jnct 1, Sugworth Lane, Bridgets Lane and Fernhill Rd . The works have been completed by Ray Gould’s and James Skinner’s crews with Melvin Snook overseeing the operations.

Vehicle Maintenance Team Keeping Our Fleet on the go
The R&W fitter team managed by Tony Skinner is busy at work keeping our fleet on the road. Helped by Eddie Wujewski and Tom Wilton the crew manage all of the HGV’s, van’s and plant and equipment we operate. All faults should be reported to Jon Hammond on the defect sheets.

Operatives Bonus Scheme
As most of you will by now be aware we will, week commencing 30th April, be implementing an operatives hourly Bonus scheme. This new system will benefit everyone who works to the high standards that we expect by providing a weekly bonus in your pay. This will be in addition to the hourly rate that you receive at the moment. It is being introduced as an incentive to benefit those who are helping the company move forward. Those who are at present letting everyone down, most noticeably their work mates, by having unauthorised absence or by damaging plant and equipment will be worse off. The new system will replace any annual pay increase. or discretionary bonus this year. We will issue the full format for the bonus with operatives pay slips on the 19th April.

Emergency Response
R&W’s ability to deal with emergency situations has been put to the test on several occasions over the last three months. Most recently a Road Traffic Accident (RTA) at Guildford led to us providing a low loader, rubber duck and several lorries during the early hours of Friday morning last week Here we assisted BBISL in recovering an overturned lorry’s payload on the busy A3 where the carriageway was blocked. Using our in house fleet we were able to mobilize and attend site within two hours. At site our crews helped to speed the clear up process thus allowing the road to be reopened by mid morning. The works were coordinated by our night time coordinator Ray Ransom, well don to all involved!

Bredy Construction Sales move in at Four Dell
The first of the units at Four Dell farm now has a tenant. Bredy Construction Sales, supplier of the majority of our CASE fleet, moved into the unit last Autumn. Works are nearing completion of the remaining two units at the site with Dave Gingham looking after the project.

R&W Fleet Expands
Furthering our commitment to operating a modern, reliable and efficient fleet of plant & machinery we have recently purchased two new CASE CX 27 mini excavators. The machines have been hard at work on the M3 for Osborne carrying out investigation works in advance of the forthcoming M3 Jnct 6-9 Communication Infrastructure Scheme.The new machines have also been utilise on the MOVA ducting works recently completed for BBISL and various safety fencing schemes undertaken by our safety fencing team. We also took delivery recently of a new ARB tri axle step framed plant trailer. The unit, hard at work on the A3(M) Communications project can carry 35t and expand to 19m.

Time Sheets
With Pam now processing over 60 timesheets on a Monday morning can we remind everyone how important it is to have the sheets in the office by 08:00 on Monday. People not returning their sheets by this time will be paid 40hrs. If the problem persists they will not be paid until the outstanding sheets are submitted. With the new computer system we now operate any re-entering of information at a later date is very onerous on Pam. Also anyone booking over 10hrs a day must explain why on their timesheet. This avoids any confusion or argument once the sheet is submitted.

M27 Junction 3 Signalisation
Works have recently been completed on the M27 at Junction 3 for BBISL. The scheme, part of the MOVA ducting works that have been ongoing since last December, entailed the installation of new communication ducting and chambers, sign base installation, thrust bore launch and reception pit construction and sign pole and face installation. The works were completed within a very short period with problems encountered at the site dealt with by the site team and the BBISL schemes team. John Davies, R&W ganger oversaw the works with assistance from various other gangs including Shane Mortimer’s crew and Bob Newman.

Other Works
Area 3 Ditching Works
Works are underway for BBIS on the general upkeep of the drainage ditches that run alongside the motorway network. Mick Russell is running the works, utilizing plant from our fleet.

A3(M) Jnct 2 Communications Contract
Works are continuing on the A3(M) where we are providing plant and materials, both day and night, to Osborne. Paul Davies, Shaun Farrell, Michael Garmson, Jimmy Huckins, Alan Jeffery, Kevin Jones, Terry Rawlings, Ron Stevens, Terry Travis, Danny Vinden, Leon Williams, Mike Wilton and Gerald Yaxley and are working on the scheme

M4 Kerbing Works
Works are underway on reinstating kerbs and verges on the M4 for BBISL. The works are being undertaken by Ray Gould and Dave Gingham.

Bournemouth Allotments Nears Completion
Works in Bournemouth for Dyer & Butler are nearing completion with the last site at Lingdale Rd nearly complete. The works have been overseen by Paul Johnstone for R&W. Shane Mortimer and John Davies are dealing with the completion works with Clive Wain on the Ro Ro.

M3 Investigation Works
Phil Hatton and Roger May, along with Andy Stevens on the grab lorry have been hard at work on the M3 for Osborne on the M3 Jnct 6-9 investigation works.

Traffic Management Hits The Road
Since the last news letter a new division to R&W has started working out on the network. R&W Traffic Management, managed by John Ridyard, commenced following the successful award of our Traffic Management accreditation through external auditors.
The new division, developed to complement all of our other activities and aimed at providing a “one stop” service for our customers, started work in October.
The TM crew have been hard at work over Hampshire installing schemes for new Clients, utilising new equipment that has added to our growing fleet. We have six full time TM operatives, a crash cushion and a full order book through into the new year.
The flexibility that the new division offers was utilised recently when we provided TM for a highways drainage scheme along with machines and resources to carry out the works on the drains once the closure was in place.

Was there any Menace at Dennis Hill?
No is the short answer! In fact the scheme we carried out recently at Dennis Hill in Guildford was managed and completed to such a high standard that Thames Water and the Client, BBISL, wrote to complement R&W for their efforts.

The difficult scheme involved relaying deep drainage within a busy industrial area adjacent to the A3. At all times we maintained traffic flows and the storm / foul sewer flow whilst working around live gas, electric, water and fibre optics. To make the works more interesting all of these were encased in concrete!
Through all of this we assisted with the design development, overcame problems on site and still ensured the scheme was delivered on programme. Well done to Shane Mortimer and all of his gang for their hard work.

R&W Helping Ch4 to go Digging Into The Past
An unusual job was completed for Ch4’s Time Team this summer when we, working with Bredy Construction Sales, provided machines and lorries to a site in Shooters Hill, London.

Seen in the picture, wearing his trade mark hat, is Phil Harding one of the teams on screen archaeologists standing on our new Case CX80. The team were filming for a soon to be screened show where WWII home guard remnants were being looked for.

Heavy Haul Rig joins the fleet

R&W has added a Heavy Haulage rig to our fleet this Autumn. The rig, driven by Bob Newman and Ted Newman, has been busy working for new Clients moving Drilling Rigs, Mobile Screeners and Large Excavators.

This new facility allows us to broaden our range of services and grow our Client base.

The Fourth Emergency Service?
We continue to provide emergency assistance to numerous Clients including Dyer & Butler, BBIS and Hampshire County Council. During the summer’s heavy storms earlier this year we dealt with a busy night on the M4 and A34 where we mobilised three low loader teams, complete with excavators, resources and tippers to clear the trunk roads following embankment failures.

Our speedy response ensured that the disruption was kept to a minimum and the roads reopened as soon as possible. R&W’s continuing adaptability and ability to deal with situations as they arise, what ever and where ever they may be, is a key asset to the company and to our Client’s. Their assurance that when they need us we will be there has earnt us the knick name of the “Fourth emergency Service”.

Other Works

Parkgate Depot Drainage Upgrade Scheme
James Skinner and his crew recently completed the drainage improvement works at Parkgate Depot.
Working closely with the depot the works were completed with minimum disruption.
Bredy Construction Sales Haulage
R&W continue to provide a low loader haulage service to Bredy Construction Sales where we transport their equipment around the South Coast. Bredy are also responsible for maintaining our fleet of excavators and plant.
M23 Communications Infrastructure Works
Works have now been completed on the M23 communications project for Osborne Civil Engineering. Well done to Tom Workman and everyone who carried out the works.
SCT Container Terminal - Southampton
We are still hard at work in Southampton Container Terminal where Phil Hatton has been driving a Case WX165 for Dean & Dyball since April
A3(M) Gantry Sign Installation
Works are underway on installing the new overhead gantry signs on the A3(M) / A27 / M27 scheme for Osborne Civil Engineering.
M3 Portsmouth Rd Safety Fencing & Drainage Improvements
James Skinner and his gang completed a difficult scheme this Autumn on the M3 motorway. The scheme involved extensive drainage alterations and works associated with a new slip formed concrete barrier.
Marchwood Power Station
Both Sean Farrell and Michael Garmson have been hard at work driving Case CX210’s at Marchwood Power Station for PJ Carey’s
Tytherington Rail Bridge Works
Eamon Hennessy, using the long reach Case WX165 has recently completed works for Dyer & Butler on the Warminster rail bridge demolition enabling works.

R&W Rescue Boats
Did you know we now have rescue boats out on hire? With Global warming becoming a problem for everyone we are looking at whether we should place mooring buoys in the cow field at the farm ready for when the waters rise up...

Surrey University Advance Works take shape
We are nearing completion of an earthworks and deep drainage scheme in Guildford for Kestrel Sports. The large diameter deep drainage works have entailed extensive dewatering and ground support through out the site in order to allow the works to be carried out.
Following the successful drainage works that we carried out we were then subsequently awarded additional works forming a large drainage lagoon complete with headwalls.

Rose Bowl Emergency Access Works
During the summer months we completed a scheme with a difference for two Clients at the same site!

Working for PT Contracting on one side of the motorway boundary fence and BBISL on the other we installed a new emergency access to the Rose Bowl. John Davies and his gang were amongst those who carried out the works at the site. The new access, a requirement of the extended facility license granted to the Rose Bowl owners, was completed to a very tight deadline just before “The Who’s” concert earlier this year.
